• Ezra recently opened a Debka folk-dance group, taught by his friend Nimmer, who is also a character in Citizen Nawi. The group, consisting of around 15 boys ages 12-15, meets in the Palestinian town of Yata 3 times a week. The lessons are held in an open space in a store with a tape recorder. Ezra hopes to raise funds so that the group can purchase costumes and pay the teacher a proper salary.

• Ezra has spent time using his plumbing know-how working to rebuild houses in the South Hebron Hills that were demolished by the IDF.

• Ezra believes that one of the ways to solve the water shortage problems facing many Arab villages in the West Bank is to build wells to collect rain water. He is currently working on building the first of what he hopes to be several wells that will serve as a much needed water source for the Palestinians in the South Hebron Hills.

• Noam Dotan designed and built a windmill (turbine) over the past two years to bring some electricity to the cave dwellers in Susia. Because they cannot put a generator there, the windmill is necessary to provide some basic electricity to the families. Ezra assisted Noam with some of the work involved in this project.

• The medical clinic that is discussed in Citizen Nawi has been completed. Although there is a rotation of doctors who work at the clinic, they have practically no equipment – the clinic has only a few chairs and tables. The reason for the poorly equipped clinic is lack of funds. The second floor of the building is used for public meetings and events.

• A few years ago Ezra witnessed a shooting attack by a security guard from Kiryat Arba against two members of the Jabaryi family that were working in their field. The guard claimed that they were throwing stones at him. The father and son were kept in jail for one week. Ezra, working with Taayush, is consistently assisting the family in preparing their court case and with general needs, such as helping them farm their land.

• Ezra is currently acting as a liaison for several court cases over confiscated Palestinian land, between lawyers and local Palestinians and activists.

• Ezra has been working in Jerusalem as well, at the protest camp set up by homeless people. For over 3 months, families and individuals have been camping out in the center of Jerusalem on King George Street. He is trying to help them achieve their grass-roots political goals and connect them to people who might be able to help their cause.

• In the future Ezra wants to focus more on social activities in the South Hebron Hills, particularly the Debka dance school.
